Street Child Games – Rio – 14 – 20 March 2016

Street Child Games 2016

In the run-up to the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games, former street children from across the world took part in the first-ever Street Child Games in Rio de Janeiro.

From the streets to the starting blocks, the Street Child Games recognises some of the world's most marginalised young people as athletes and ambassadors - inviting those who have had to live in the shadows to step into the spotlight in the Olympic city.

The Games took place from 14 - 20 March, with young people from around the world who have been at risk of the streets coming together for Olympic-themed sports and a unique congress for street children's rights.

Even though the event has happened, you can still make a difference - follow, support & share - help street children tell the world: I am Somebody
